You can chose from 10 playable characters: Goku (SSJ2), Majin Vegeta, Gotenks (SSJ3), Gohan, Super Vegito, Piccolo, Buu (Majin and Kid forms), Freeza (final form) and Cell (perfect form). In Practice mode you can train your skills against CPU. In the Tournament Mode up to eight characters (players or CPU-controlled) compete against each other, similar to the other Butōden games. The Versus mode allows you to fight custom battle against CPU or your friend. You can fight in the most important battles that took place in Dragon Ball Z (and several that wasn't). In the first mode, a story is similar to that of Dragon Ball Z manga and anime (Freeza, Buu and Cell sagas). Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension features a few game modes - Story, Versus, Tournament and Practice.
